Work Weekend 2024:
Attendance 13 including SIX "next generation" members and family who will be key our ongoing success!
Hurricane Debbie changed our plans a little, leaving debris along the creek from the walking bridge behind camp, strewn against our firewood crib and under our bridges but the Augenstein crew brought an excavator and skid steer which made short work of the additional cleanup. Also on the agenda, the removal of a number of stumps and other overgrown and dying trees along the creek heading down to the range which was accomplished in spite of the cleanup from the previous weeks storm and an unusually rainy work weekend. As always we cut and split enough firewood to fill the shed, ready for winter, thanks to Greg Weiss, his log splitter and Ron Byers.
(credit where credit is due... Skip took the picture through the log... it might be a second calling!)

2019/2020 Annual Meeting(s):
Our yearly work weekend for 2020 was limited by Covid-19 but the Virgins and Carlsons put in a great effort regarding cleanup of the old "dump" along camp road as well as trimming a lot of saplings next to the road. Camp thanks our dedicated members!
We have not selected a weekend for 2021 as yet but will advise everybody shortly.
Our annual meeting was held June 27th and the minutes of that meeting are available below:

Work Weekend 2018:
The 2018 work weekend ran from August 24th to the 26th.
And the 2017 annual meeting was convened Saturday afternoon (minutes for which are just below).
In attendance were Rich, Matt and Mason Virgin, Keith Bachman, Ron Byers, Greg Weiss, Tim Brady & Mark Capenos.
With no major projects this year we stuck with the basics of cleaning and wood cutting. Matt and Mason Virgin built a couple of fires to clean up excess dead-wood around camp and down by the pond, and Mason made the best of his first work weekend, rescuing some garter snakes from a sticky trap meant for mice, building a dam just below camp bridge and catching more salamanders and fish than seemed possible, we look forward to having him back next year!

The 2016 work weekend ran from August 19th to the 21st.
Besides the usual cleaning, wood cutting and road/drainage projects, this year we:
- Delivered a new refrigerator... It's a virtual stainless steel walk-in cooler with double fridge doors on top and a pull-out freezer on the bottom which includes an icemaker. The old-old fridge in the back and the old side-by-side from the kitchen were both removed from camp, the medium size over/under fridge in the back was left as is.
- Worked on camps gas well... In an effort to eliminte the (mostly) winter related loss of gas pressure we replaced the piece-meal stainless flex lines, just outside the tin shed next to the well, with a short section of line that connects directly into the shed, replaced the high-side gauge (currently showing 210 psi) and low-side gauge (feeds camp at 10 psi), and changed out the valve and blow-off piping on top of the water seperator tank so we can more conveniently manage the periodic purging of this important part of our system.
- Set up a nice pool table... Camp now has a high quality SLATE pool table in the game room and the ping-pong table has been redesigned to sit securely on top of the pool table. Please enjoy with care.
- Repaired bedroom door jam... We can now open and close the back bedroom door with ease after the threshhold was cut down to releive the pressure on the bottom of that door.
- Walking Bridge shored up... The walking bridge behind camp has been built up on both ends to steady it.
- Kitchen Scrubbing... Particularly the range hood and related surfaces where we see the most cooking related build-up.
- Back fridge room... With the old-old fridge being removed, this room in general was cleaned and reorganized.

Work Weekend 2015:
The main task this year was the re-decking of camp bridge.
The old wood deck was beginning to show significant signs of deterioration with holes and soft spots along the tire paths.
The bridge was stipped of all old decking material to expose the iron beams and concrete piers which were painted and shored up as needed prior to a new, slightly wider, wood deck being installed.
Many thanks to Matt Virgin and his crew who pretty much gave their entire weekend the week before to help us prepare for work weekend by removing all the old bridge decking and working on the gun range uprights!
Aside from the bridge we also tackled the usual clean & paint activies which this year included the removal and repainting of all the exterior security screens on all the windows, a general scrubbing of all camp doors and frames and some additional repointing of at-grade block around the building.
